I’m Tanya and I’m a Person-centred/Existential Counsellor and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am originally from Denmark, but have lived in Wales for many years and studied for my counselling qualification at Cardiff and Vale College.
For the last 3 years, I have worked with clients struggling with all kinds of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to bereavement and anger. In addition to this, I have trained in, and now work with clients who struggle with trauma due to sexual and domestic violence.
I am also a qualified couples therapist and see couples in Llantwit Major.
I work with young people and adults from 16+ in either English or Danish.
I’m Shane, and I am also a qualified Humanistic/Existential Counsellor. I am a Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am from Scotland, but moved to Wales 8 years ago. I have always been interested in people and worked for my Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling at Cardiff and Vale College.
I have worked as a counsellor in mental health agency for over two years, working with clients with anxiety, stress, bereavement, depression and other common mental health problems.
I enjoy working with clients in a creative way - from drawing stick people on paper, to playing with shells and stones as a way to explore the client’s world. Art qualifications are not needed!
